Alastair’s professional career has embraced experience within large institutional environments and the dynamic world of small and medium-sized enterprises, having twice participated in successful business start-ups. As a consequence, he is experienced in all aspects of business establishment, development and disposal.

Alastair has international business development experience having worked on projects in the financial services markets in Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Ireland and Australia.

As Ergowealth’s Chief Executive, Alastair is responsible for corporate affairs, strategic planning and business development.

Director & Financial Planner

Brian is a qualified Financial Planner with more than 30 years’ experience in the profession, having previously held managerial positions with Prudential and Norwich Union. He established and built up a successful independent financial advisory practice based in High Wycombe before co-founding Ergowealth.

As our Operations Director, Brian is responsible for day-to-day management and business development, particularly nurturing our professional connections with accountants and solicitors.

At play

Brian loves classic cars; he’s the proud owner of a 1960 MK2 3.8 Jaguar, which he has fully restored over the past twenty years. In 2017, Brian returned to Grass Track racing after 38 years away from it; he now has three 500cc racing bikes.

Sean has spent his entire professional career in financial services and has held both management and business development roles with Allied Dunbar, Norwich Union and Sun Life of Canada. He is also a Chartered Financial Planner; placing him amongst the UK’s leading financial professionals.

Sean’s specialist areas of expertise are holistic financial planning, Defined Benefit transfers and providing advice to those in the medical profession.

As a Director, Sean is responsible for developing Ergowealth’s client-facing services, including our centralised investment proposition and the technical infrastructure that supports this.

At play

In his spare time, Sean enjoys walking his dogs, socialising with family and friends and keeping up with sport of all forms.

I have been in financial services all my working life and have worked for a number of major financial services intermediaries, life insurance companies and professional firms. I have extensive management experience across a wide range of business functions.

The primary focus of my activities is my non-executive director positions alongside corporate activity i.e. acquisitions, integrations and sales, strategy and proposition and pricing, and performance of people, principally within intermediary firms.

I also consult on governance, risk and compliance effectiveness, and the selection and management and review of outsourced suppliers, in particular, discretionary fund managers, platforms, and compliance consultants.

Lesley has been a Financial Planner for more than 20 years, advising in all areas of retirement, Inheritance Tax and investment planning. Lesley is a Chartered Financial Planner; placing her amongst the UK’s leading financial professionals.

Lesley specialises in working with people who have recently experienced a redundancy or divorce; she also has many elderly clients who require planning surrounding long-term care or Equity Release.

Stephen is a Chartered Wealth Manager whose career in financial services has spanned 3 continents over 41 years. He previously held a managerial role in Sydney with Prudential Securities Inc of New York, where he advised both institutions and families on worldwide investments.

Stephen’s areas of focus are Investments, Retirement Planning and Protection. The most enjoyable part of his job is helping clients to understand at what age they can look to retire, and how to structure their assets to achieve a sustainable retirement.

Stephen is a keen golfer and was previously a fully qualified pilot.

Idris recently graduated from the University of Essex with a First in Accountancy and Finance.

Idris’ role as our Administrator includes completing client valuations and application forms, working closely with both Charles and Sean. Idris’ goal is to become a Chartered Financial Planner.

A lover of all things sport, Idris is a cricketer in the Thames Valley league, enjoys five-a side football and is a keen supporter of Arsenal.

Fiona Moynihan DipFA

Fiona has worked in financial services for more than 30 years.

Her extensive experience has covered a variety of roles, from business development and sales through to coaching. Not only that, but she became diploma qualified in 2011 and has worked as an Independent Financial Adviser, making her a welcome addition to our technical analysis team.

At play

Fiona’s main hobby is tennis, whether she’s playing or assisting young children in their coaching. When she’s not on the court, she loves relaxing with friends and family.

Tom McPartlan

Tom Completed a foundation course in Business Economics at Leeds Beckett University in 2016 before joining us as a Junior Technical Analyst. He is in the process of completing his financial planning exams with the help of the CII apprenticeship scheme.

Tom supports our planner Lesley with maintaining client files, completing research, writing reports and implementing our recommendations.

Daniel Lawton

Despite working in HR and recruitment for 20 years, Daniel decided it was time for a career change.

Due to his interest in advising and supporting people and their personal finances through life’s changes, he now hopes to develop and progress in the world of financial services. He is currently working towards attaining the Diploma in Financial Planning.

Daniel enjoys travelling and DIY, and is interested in world news, business, politics and genealogy.

Anthony has worked in financial services since leaving college in 2002. Originally training as a financial paraplanner with a small regional firm of financial advisers, he chose to specialise in business administration.

Head of Administration at Ergowealth since 2014, Anthony currently oversees the team and works directly as an administrator for Sean and his clients. He also works closely with Alastair on the management of the business.

Michelle has enjoyed a successful career in customer services and administration spanning more than 25 years, having worked for both HSBC and Nationwide in customer support roles.

Today she oversees day-to-day admin and supports our planner Brian, as well as being a friendly face and point of contact for our clients.

Sue Platt

Sue has worked in various office environments for the past 30 years: she worked in sales, was head of HR and even a veterinary nurse. This varied career has given her wealth of experience in customer-facing roles.

Today she supports the administration team, ensures the smooth-running of the office and is a friendly point of contact for our clients.

Her love for animals means Sue is a keen dog walker and horse rider. She also loves going to the cinema and enjoying meals out with friends.
