As a consequence, he is experienced in all aspects of business establishment, development and disposal.

Alastair has international business development experience having worked on projects in the financial services markets in Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Ireland and Australia.

As Ergowealth’s Chief Executive, Alastair is responsible for corporate affairs, strategic planning and business development.

Sean Walsh FPFS

Investment and Advice Director & Chartered Financial Planner

Sean has spent his entire professional career in financial services and has held both management and business development roles with Allied Dunbar, Norwich Union and Sun Life of Canada. He is also a Chartered Financial Planner; placing him amongst the UK’s leading financial professionals.

Sean’s specialist areas of expertise are holistic financial planning, Defined Benefit transfers and providing advice to those in the medical profession.

As a Director, Sean is responsible for developing Ergowealth’s client-facing services, including our centralised investment proposition and the technical infrastructure that supports this.

At play

In his spare time, Sean enjoys walking his dogs, socialising with family and friends and keeping up with sport of all forms.

I have been in financial services all my working life and have worked for a number of major financial services intermediaries, life insurance companies and professional firms. I have extensive management experience across a wide range of business functions.

The primary focus of my activities is my non-executive director positions alongside corporate activity i.e. acquisitions, integrations and sales, strategy and proposition and pricing, and performance of people, principally within intermediary firms.

I also consult on governance, risk and compliance effectiveness, and the selection and management and review of outsourced suppliers, in particular, discretionary fund managers, platforms, and compliance consultants.

Rachel Hampshire APFS

Rachel has over 25 years’ experience in financial planning and prides herself in being approachable and focused on building long-term, trusting relationships with her clients.

Rachel is a mum to teenagers and has also cared for older relatives; life experiences which help her demystify the financial planning process for her clients. A specialist in the sensitive area of later-life and care funding, Rachel is SOLLA (Society of Later Life Care Advisors) accredited and helps families when seeking advice in paying for care.

Based in South Oxfordshire with husband Robert and their two children, Rachel’s interests include looking after the fruit orchard, vegetable patch, chickens and cat, plus walking and cycling in the Chilterns. Society of Later Life Advisers - SOLLA

Christopher’s investment career began at Cazenove in the early 1980s.  Since then he has held senior roles in global investment banks such as Barclays de Zoete Wedd and UBS and founded two wealth management firms.  The second of these was sold to Charles Stanley Plc where, until recently, he was Head of Asset Management looking after clients of all types and providing a range of investment portfolios for the adviser industry.

Christopher is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Investment and Securities (CISI) and is a qualified financial planner (Dip PFS)

He has always enjoyed helping people to find their way through the financial maze towards a secure  financial future and looks forward to using his extensive knowledge and experience to help as many people as he can in this new phase of his career.   He specialises in investment and estate planning but can advise on all aspects of financial planning, backed by the extensive specialist skills available within Ergowealth.

Idris began his journey at Ergowealth through our graduate programme, passing many exams along the way!

Idris’ core role involves supporting the financial planners in delivering great outcomes. Idris is passionate about pushing the profession forward so that more people can access the great financial planning Ergowealth delivers for clients.
As a strong believer in financial education and the promotion of financial literacy from a young age, Idris aims to deliver many more school workshops as a PFS Education champion.

At play

A lover of all things sport, Idris is a cricketer in the Thames Valley league, enjoys five-a side football and is a keen supporter of Arsenal.

Fiona Moynihan DipFA

Fiona has worked in financial services for more than 30 years.

Her extensive experience has covered a variety of roles, from business development and sales through to coaching. Not only that, but she became diploma qualified in 2011 and has worked as an Independent Financial Adviser, making her a welcome addition to our technical analysis team.

At play

Fiona’s main hobby is tennis, whether she’s playing or assisting young children in their coaching. When she’s not on the court, she loves relaxing with friends and family.

Sian is a recent Masters Graduate who studied Finance for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate at the University of Exeter. She is currently studying for her Diploma with the intention of becoming an Advisor at Ergowealth in the future.

Sian’s main hobby is Rowing, which she does to a high level around work. She also enjoys walking her dog and enjoying the outdoors.

 

Martin Faull

Martin has more than 30 years of experience working within the Financial Services industry, working with both multi-national and smaller companies. Martin has spent a large proportion of his time working within Pension roles, including administration, Technical and compliance roles.

At play

Martin  enjoys Choral singing, particularly in Churches and Cathedrals and is a regular member of two local choirs. A big fan of the Tour de France, spending time with his grandchildren and walking the dog through the country side.

Daniel Lawton

Despite working in HR and recruitment for 20 years, Daniel decided it was time for a career change.

Due to his interest in advising and supporting people and their personal finances through life’s changes, he now hopes to develop and progress in the world of financial services. He is currently working towards attaining the Diploma in Financial Planning.

Daniel enjoys travelling and DIY, and is interested in world news, business, politics and genealogy.

Anthony Miller

Anthony has worked in financial services since leaving college in 2002. Originally training as a financial paraplanner with a small regional firm of financial advisers, he chose to specialise in business administration & operations.

Joining as the Head of Administration at Ergowealth in 2014, Anthony now heads up the Operational side of the business, overseeing the team and works closely with Sean and Alastair on the management of the business.

Michelle Raeburn

Michelle has enjoyed a successful career in customer services and administration spanning more than 25 years, having worked for both HSBC and Nationwide in customer support roles.

Today she oversees day-to-day admin and supports our planner Brian, as well as being a friendly face and point of contact for our clients.

At play

Michelle loves travelling, walking and enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Sue Platt

Finance Manager

Sue has worked in various office environments for the past 30 years: she worked in sales, was head of HR and even a veterinary nurse. This varied career has given her wealth of experience in customer-facing roles.

Today she supports the administration team, ensures the smooth-running of the office and is a friendly point of contact for our clients.

At play

Her love for animals means Sue is a keen dog walker and horse rider. She also loves going to the cinema and enjoying meals out with friends.

I have worked in the NHS, Education and private sector. Good Administration has come into all my varied client/customer faced roles. My role is to support the Senior Administrator with the day to day administration in an efficient manner.

Rene Descartes

The father of modern philosophy, Rene Descartes was a philosopher, mathematician and scientist. He is said to have founded modern rationalism, a philosophical movement based on the use of reason and empirical evidence as the means to attain knowledge.

He wrote all his major work, in various languages, over a 20-year period. His most famous philosophical statement, “cogito ergo sum” (“I think therefore I am”), found in his 1637 book ‘Discourse de la Méthode’, is the motto of our firm.

Descartes didn’t find much time for leisure; instead, he was often found writing and editing his works. However, he did enjoy travel and spent most of his life on the move, having lived in France, Hungary, Germany, Holland and Italy.
